Forskningsrådet

The Research Council promotes competitiveness and growth in Norwegian trade and industry by providing financial support and advice for research and innovation projects.

Companies in need of research and development to produce new or improved products, services or production processes can obtain funding and advice from the Research Council. We can fund research and innovation activities aimed at generating the new knowledge companies need to realise an innovation in their industry or field. We have funding available for research and innovation projects and for building expertise and networks.

The Research Plaza

At the Research Plaza you meet eight research and innovation organizations and funding agencies dedicated to research and innovation within the fishery and seafood sector.

Visit the research plaza to get updated on latest news in research and innovation through a series of mini-seminars; "Tomorrows fishing fleet", "How to secure a vibrant coastal culture" and "Can we increase the value from marine resources?"

Meet researchers from SINTEF Ocean, Nofima, NORCE, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, NTNU and innovative companies. The research and innovations being presented during the seminars are funded and supported by The Research Council of Norway, Innovation Norway and Norwegian Seafood Research Fund
